Job Title: Integration Project Manager

$55-80/hr (Depends on Experience)

6 month contract plus extensions
Boston, MA (Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite)

Job Summary: The Integration Project Manager will be responsible for managing discrepancies amongst projects, making trade-offs between competing priorities and requests, and evaluating resources. The candidate will ensure that projects are not managed in isolation by measuring how projects relate to each other and how other parts of the organization relate to projects. The position requires a solution-based philosophy and the ability to develop practical plans in a dynamic and complex environment. The candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment in solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information. The candidate must be an effective communicator, collaborator, and executor with a strong operational program foundation. The Integration Project Manager must focus on details while maintaining an in-depth vision of overarching goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with management and project management team to implement best practices using metrics and data where possible, such as system design reviews, schedule coordination, and project prioritization.
  • Create a department-wide view of each project, involving all different groups (Cyber Security, Database, Applications, Desktop Support, etc.), to visualize and understand the goals and impacts of the project and identify and mitigate any system risks.
  • Provide portfolio management and coordination for all SOC IT initiatives and projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and security directives.
  • Lead or support in the development of projects that impact user experience and integration with organization-wide applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with the project management team and functional team managers to develop and nurture a highly competent and engaged team that delivers in an environment of continuous change.
  • Recommend tools and technologies to deliver projects faster and with enhanced quality and security.
  • Resolve major project or system issues and develop the resolution and testing strategy and approach.
  • Improve time-to-value for customers by leading solution implementation and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop technology upgrade strategies to keep IT operating systems, frameworks, database servers, and all other licensed software up to date and on supported platforms.
  • Oversee execution of key strategic projects and deliverables, engaging all relevant stakeholders to ensure success.
  • Ensure projects progress with efficient use of resources by reviewing project milestones and deadlines, prioritization of tasks, and checking that organizational dependencies are accounted and planned for.
  • Analyze project dependencies and resource overlap among projects and work with team members to formulate corrective actions when project deliverables deviate from the work plan and projected budget.
  • Quickly build relationships and influence colleagues, business leaders, vendors, and functional partners, and negotiate conflicts in a constructive manner.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including work structures, schedules, major milestone roadmaps, communication plans, test plans, and change control procedures.
  • Navigate ambiguity and develop a systemic approach and strategy to address and solve problems.
  • Address and resolve a wide range of intellectual and practical issues and concerns.
  • Demonstrate technical writing skills and experience with proposals, RFPs/RFQs, with the ability to proofread and edit for proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling in all documents produced.
  • Support strategies for effecting change, controlling change, and helping people to adapt to change.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required. PMP certification preferred.
  • 9+ years of IT work experience, including 5 or more years managing projects. At least 3 years of integration project management and leadership responsibilities for implementation of major, cross-functional IT projects and enterprise infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in projects relative to application development, infrastructure projects, and cyber security.

Technical Requirements:

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office including MS Project and Visio.
  • Expertise in the requirements and technology required to support data center technologies, cyber security concepts and tools, and LAN/WAN/WLAN networks.
  • Familiarity with web applications, Microsoft .NET architecture, and relational database concepts.
  • Strong understanding of system development lifecycle requirements.
  • Ability to visualize, capture, and describe networked systems and workflows.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with identifying and implementing organization-wide initiatives, standards, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate both business and technical objectives from multiple perspectives including client, internal development, operational, and support view.
  • Ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.
  • Proven experience improving integration processes and time-to-value for customers.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and functions effectively in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress environment with a variety of personalities.
  • Tolerance of ambiguity and willingness to work through complex issues.
  • Proven experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, communications, and presentation skills with an outstanding record of expertise in technical communications and security principals for all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience balancing the requirements and deadlines set from stakeholders with the prioritized backlog of the division’s teams.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, change management.
  • Experience developing full-scale project timelines, plan and track dependencies and critical path items to keep project on time.
  • Experience developing and delivering timely status reports so that both members of the project team and executive stakeholders are aware of project progress and changes in scope or schedule.
